ScanCam PDF Scanner ("ScanCam," "we," "us," or "our") values your privacy. 

This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it when using the ScanCam mobile application. \n\n'

              A. Information you create in the app

              - Scanned images and generated PDFs (stored on your device by default'

              - OCR text extracted from your scanned pages'

              - Optional account details if you sign in with Google (such as email and user ID)

              B. Information collected automatically

              - Device and app information (model, OS version, app version).

              - Usage and diagnostics data (for analytics and crash troubleshooting).

              - Device or other IDs, including Device Advertising ID.

              - Network metadata such as IP address (collected by Google services and ad partners).

              C. Permissions

              - Camera: capture document images only after user action.

              - Photos/Media/Storage: Import and save images and PDF files.

              - Biometric (optional): app lock and secure access.

              - Internet: cloud/auth features, analytics, and ad delivery.

              'Permissions are requested contextually when required for a feature.

              2. Advertising and Google AdMob.

                ScanCam uses Google AdMob to display ads to free users

               AdMob may process device advertising ID, device information, approximate location derived                from IP, and ad interaction signals.

              Purpose: Advertising or marketing, including ad delivery, fraud prevention, and performance                   measurement.

              You can manage ad personalization in your device settings and through the consent options                      shown in the app (where available).

              3. Analytics, Authentication, and Purchases

              - Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics: app usage and stability diagnostics

              - Firebase Authentication: sign-in and session management

              - Google Play Billing: subscription purchase processing.

              4. How We Use Information.

              We use data to:

              - Provide core scanning, OCR, and PDF features.

              - Improve app quality, reliability, and security.

              - Show ads in the free version and support monetization.

              - Process subscriptions and premium entitlements.

              We do not sell your document content.

              5. Data Storage and Security

              Your scanned files are primarily stored locally on your device.

              When cloud-linked features are used, required account/service data may be processed by                            trusted providers.\n'

              We use industry-standard security measures, including HTTPS/TLS for data in transit.

              6. Data Sharing

              We may share limited data with service providers only as needed to operate the app, such as                    Google AdMob, Firebase, and Google Play Billing.

              We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect users and the service.

              7. Your Choices and Controls

              - Control app permissions in Android settings

              - Manage ad personalization preferences in Google/device settings

              - Use premium to remove ads in the app experience

              - Delete local documents from your device at any time

              - Uninstall the app to remove local app data

              8. Children\'s Privacy

              ScanCam is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal                        information from children.

              9. International Processing\n

              Some providers we use may process data on servers in multiple countries.

              By using the app, you understand that your information may be processed outside your country, subject to applicable safeguards.

              10. Policy Updates

              We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. 

              Material changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate,                             additional notice in-app.
